Hi! I'm Tasha
Hi, I’m Tasha — a Melbourne-based photographer capturing real, honest moments for families, couples, and events.
My style is relaxed and natural, focused on connection over perfection. I believe the best photos happen when you feel comfortable — not posed — and when you’re simply enjoying time with the people you love.
With over six years of experience photographing families and events, I bring a calm, intuitive approach to every session. I take my cues from you—matching your family’s energy, meeting kids where they’re at, and (yes) bringing all my best cheesy jokes to help everyone relax.
My favourite way to guide a session is by turning it into little games that break down the stiffness people often feel when a camera is pointed at them. It keeps things natural, fun, and is honestly the best way to get kids to cooperate.
You’ll receive thoughtfully edited images that feel warm, honest, and true to you — no awkward posing, no pressure, just genuine connection captured in a way you’ll love looking back on.
If you’re after photos that feel like you, not a staged photoshoot, you’re in the right place.
My Journey
My journey began at 14, wandering the streets of Melbourne’s CBD with my grandfather (pictured to the left), who shared his love of photography with me and became my very first teacher. Those early days taught me the foundations of photography—how to use settings to my advantage and how to look for light, moments, and stories rather than just “pretty pictures.” They sparked a passion that’s only grown stronger over the years.
While studying photography at university, I discovered a deep love for film photography and in-camera experimentation. You could often find me in the darkroom, refining my craft, learning to be patient with the process, and perfecting my skills frame by frame. Along the way, I started collecting film cameras from different eras—what began as curiosity has grown into a collection of 12 cameras, each with its own character and story. That foundation in film still shapes the way I shoot today: intentional, story-driven, and focused on creating images that feel timeless rather than trendy.
Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside talented photographers and within established photography teams, learning a wide range of styles and techniques that have shaped the way I work today. I’ve worked in school and kindergarten photography, covered corporate events, and had the opportunity to photograph events at the Melbourne Fashion Festival, concerts, and to work with the incredible team at Flying Fox. Along the way, I’ve photographed countless families, school formals, graduations, and special milestones—each one teaching me how to work calmly, adapt quickly, and capture people at their best.
All of this experience has shaped my approach into something relaxed, intuitive, and story-driven—focused on real moments, genuine connection, and images that feel natural, timeless, and full of life.
